Playing with words…
There’s too much going on! Too much stress! It’s time to play!
And since I was an English teacher in a previous lifetime, I choose to play with WORDS. And today I choose “anagrams”.
What’s an anagram? It’s a word or phrase formed by rearranging the letters in another word or phrase. It’s important to note that the word or phrases that an anagram creates must be actual words or phrases, otherwise it is just gibberish.
(Someone who is good at anagrams must be “deadly” at Scrabble!)
I hope you enjoy this word play as much as I do!
SNOOZE ALARMS: rearrange letters to ALAS! NO MORE Z’S
THE EARTHQUAKES: rearrange letters to THAT QUEER SHAKE
ANIMOSITY: rearrange letters to IS NO AMITY
PRESBYTERIAN: rearrange letters to: BEST IN PRAYER
ASTRONOMER: rearrange letters to : MOON STARER
DORMITORY: rearrange letters to: DIRTY ROOM
ELEVEN PLUS TWO: rearrange letters to: TWELVE PLUS ONE
THE EYES: rearrange letters to: THEY SEE
DESPERATION: rearrange letters to A ROPE ENDS IT
SOME ARE QUITE A CHALLENGE!
Did you find at least one of these anagrams to be new to you?
And if anagrams aren’t your thing…
you can check out some of my posts on puns!

Funny stuff
You got me on the first one heart/earth. Sorry to say the rest are just annoying to me. But then I am a simple person.
Found this a lot of fun!! Thanks!
Pat, these are amazing! What do these creators do in their spare time?
I also like palindromes. Told my granddaughter, Hannah, (at age 5) she was one. She was indignant.
