Vacation complaints…

Posted by Pat on July 18, 2021 in Uncategorized |

Vacations are a national tradition (as is this perennial childhood complaint!)

This post is of actual complaints received by “Thomas Cook Vacations” from dissatisfied customers. I think you’ll be as amazed as I was by them!

“We booked an excursion to a water park but no one told us we had to bring our own swimsuits and towels. We assumed it would be included in the price.”

“It is your duty as a tour operator to advise us of noisy or unruly guests before we travel.”

“They should not allow topless sunbathing on the beach. It was very distracting for my husband who just wanted to relax.”

“I was bitten by a mosquito. The brochure did not mention mosquitoes.”

“No one told us there would be fish in the water. The children were scared.”

“When we were in Spain, there were too many Spanish people there. The receptionist spoke Spanish, the food was Spanish. No one told us that there would be so many foreigners.”

“Although the brochure said that there was a fully equipped kitchen, there was no egg-slicer in the drawers.”

“We found the sand was not like the sand in the brochure. Your brochure shows the sand as white but it was more yellow.”

“The beach was too sandy. We had to clean everything when we returned to our room.”

I just got back from a couple-of-days vacation at the Oregon beach! It was fun, we had great weather, and we were with good company!

If you haven’t taken some time off, you should.

After all, you know you deserve it!

And it was a wonderful holiday, that time at the beach with friends and family! No complaints!

Since my retirement every day is a vacation. I remind myself that today and every day is of my own making. Expecting and affirming the best, I look for it, and, of course, I find it.

That’s the secret, Meg. Look for the best. It’s there. If you’re not looking, you won’t see it! 😊

These people are either very ignorant or very spoiled or both. I remember that as a child my mother had a full-time job. She used her vacation time to do a thorough house cleaning. My father had to spend his time tending to his bee hives. I spent the summer getting stung by honey bees.

Sometimes, reading other peoples comments makes me feel like i’m Einstein.

Sandy, I “think” people don’t always take the time to “think” before they speak and so by comparison WE feel smart!
