Thoughts for the season?
Posted by Pat on November 24, 2013 in Uncategorized | ∞
With the holidays approaching rapidly, my thoughts seem to focus on how much I have to be grateful for.
And I bet yours do too! Here’s my selections for this month’s quotes!
Here’s some fun favorite thoughts!

Two struck me here in particular, Pat. The one on gratitude, naturally. My gratitude journal is an ongoing thing around here and has an enormous number of entries – many blessings noted repeatedly as well.
But breaking things down to believable steps…now that really speaks to me. I love arriving at ‘the finish line’ of a project, but it’s sometimes hard to believe it’s really achievable. For example: I just started a huge lace knitting project which is likely to take a very long time to complete. The ‘row by row’ is just the ticket here! I got two rows done last night! Yay! Another: a harp performance coming up. Yikes. I’m breaking this one down to ‘believable’ steps as well. Maybe just getting the fingering nailed on one phrase. Success! Whew.
As always, you sure come up with some goodies! Thank you for sharing them.
Fay, I always look forward to your sharing what you “do” with the thoughts on the blog posts!
The one that got my attention was “I AM Me”. As I learned long ago, you should not follow a crowd and try to be just like them. Then you will have lost yourself and have no idea who you are and what you want to be. Be yourself, find what you want to do and work at doing it. Others will then be able to see who you really are and friends will follow. Encourage others to do the same. The crowd then will be people with positive lives who will share things to enjoy not to expect you to follow their path. Then you will know enough about who you really are to enjoy sharing parts of it. This is the time of the year that brings people together to visit about where the paths have taken them and maybe others will want to try parts of that path too.

Earl, I always enjoy your thoughtful comments! You have an ability to share your insights that make me think!
I like the green dye-it: green gravy, green pumpkin pie, green stuffing, green bread and butter, etc.
April, reminds me of the Dr. Seuss book, “Green Eggs and Ham.” And I love the wordplay of diet/dye-it. Thanks for sharing!
