September as a new January!
“September” is such an invigorating idea! It’s back to school and new projects! It’s unofficially the beginning of fall and plenty of time to look at the “clean slate” that it provides.
We can choose to stop “doing” for a moment and reflect on what it is that we really want…
- to be,
- to do,
- to have this fall season.
It’s a marvelous opportunity to…
- reflect,
- re-imagine,
- restore, and
- rejuvenate.
Reflection reminds us that life has been good. Life IS good. And sometimes we just need a nudge to remember to give thanks for it.
So what are you grateful for? Family and friendship? Health and wellness? Learning and opportunities? Having a home and enough food? The beauty of nature? Books and music? Time and energy?
I know that I’ve been blessed with family and friends to love, folks to share with, ideas and beliefs to explore, resources beyond measure, as well as opportunities to contribute to the well-being of others.
Our task, if we choose to accept it, is to:
- choose a way to share one of our blessings,
- decide the first step, even if tiny,
- and actually do it!
It could be a financial donation to one of the worthy causes regarding the disasters that come across our screens. It could be calling someone we’ve been thinking about and taking the time to really listen to them. It could be sharing an idea with someone who is stuck.
What will you choose to do with your clean slate this fall?

Nice reminder to step out and do something. Here’s to a new beginning evry day!
Here’s to habits, old and new. I focus on ways to alter or add to one I use every day or discover a more efficient way to save time or make a chore more pleasant.
