More than enough?
Saying that “I have enough” or “I am enough” isn’t really “enough,” even though they are useful affirmations and certainly head us in the right direction.
I suggest we consider the option of replacing the word “enough” with the word “plenty.” Consider the difference in feeling and tone generated by the two phrases “I have enough” and “I have plenty.” I’d wager that “plenty” feels much lighter and more serene and joyful to you as well as to me!
We do know that as we live and express an attitude of gratitude, more things and experiences for which to be grateful show up for us.
Are there just “enough” or “plenty?”
- leaves,
- flowers,
- stars,
- blades of grass,
- grains of sand,
- varieties of animals.
Everything in life, from the boundlessness of our inner world to the expansiveness of the universe, is overflowing with abundance.
And we are life expressing. Surrounded by all this extravagant bounty, why do we limit ourselves to “enough“?
Do you see “plenty” in every aspect of your life? Are you looking for it? Do you accept it? When you really admit it, aren’t you blessed with plentiful
- love,
- friends,
- health,
- money,
- ideas, and
- opportunities?
Doesn’t the universe say “YES” and “YES” yet again?
Yes, it does and we can show our gratitude by accepting, embodying, sharing and giving thanks for all our blessings.
Life is Good!
MY Life is Good!
YOUR Life is Good!
And so it is!

There is plenty for everyone but I prefer to heed the Chinese recommendation: Everything in moderation.
Well said. But I will not settle for only moderate health or moderate happiness. No, I want extravagance in many parts of my life. Peace
How about Wisdom Aplenty?
Barbara, love the suggestion! Glad to hear from you…
sometimes enough is enough…
Joy, how true! But I do want an abundance of the good things. And enough is enough (even for chocolate!)
