Lessons from Noah’s Ark
Stories are everywhere and so much fun to discover!
And we can learn so much from each of them.
It’s kinda like “a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine goes down.”
I’ll bet you can think of some too! (ever read “Aesop’s Fables?”)
Here are some favorites of mine gleaned from the story of Noah’s Ark.
Lesson 1: Don’t forget that we’re all in the same boat.
This is a good idea to remember in our ever shrinking world!
Lesson 2: Don’t miss the boat!
It is our responsibility to pay attention and take action when we know we should.
Lesson 3: Plan ahead. It wasn’t raining when Noah built the ark.
Lesson 4: Remember that amateurs built the ark while professionals built the Titanic. Never be afraid to try!
Can you think of more?
Maybe..?
- If you can’t fight or flee-float?
- For safety sake, travel in pairs?
- Stay below deck during the storm?
Or one of my favorites:
- Stay fit. When you’re really old, someone might ask you to do something REALLY big!
So what lessons can you think of?
Or… what stories speak to you?

Great job, Pat. This one had me chuckling in a very serious way!
If it’s sink or swim and you can’t swim, follow your inner guide and build a boat.
Joy, I guess Noah didn’t buy into “sink or swim” and found there was still another alternative!
