I am..?
Because I remember that every time I say “I am…(insert quality)” I am claiming and affirming that quality for myself, I have made a list of qualities I WANT to claim and affirm instead!
Rather than I am tired/confused/irritated/sad/angry…I have focused on claiming positive qualities.
As an ex-English teacher, I know lots of words to choose from! And having owned a bookstore and being a voracious reader only feeds my passion for words.
So while doing a daily walk, I methodically went through the alphabet looking for value words to claim.
Some were very challenging, like J, N, Q, X, Y, and Z.
Some letters were a lot easier than others! A, C, D, E, P, and S in particular.
Just to tease and tantalize you, here’s just one letter (and NOT all the possible words!)
How many can you add to this list for A?
I AM…
able, accepting, accomplished, adaptable, adventurous, alert, alive, appreciated, artful, articulate, assertive, attentive, aware
And if you have any suggestions for the letter X, I’d love to hear from you! I have cheated by using ex as my x!
(You know, like expressive, extraordinary)
Word play is fun! And don’t even get me started on 4 letter words-like hope, love, play, live, give, help…

Here goes:
I am admiring nature every day. ( In the past was not taking any time to notice ).
I am always admiring the success of others. ( Sometimes it is someone I added a bit of help or suggestions to – happy to see their success).
X is the vote as yes for WWHS new Science building.
Now time to get my camera and check the outside – Nature here I come.
Mark X where I used to be sitting.

Earl-I love your suggestions for “X” !!
I like to be xenodochial!
Who knew this word? I didn’t and I had to look it up. It wasn’t even in my home dictionary, but good ol’ Google!
Xenodochial is an adjective describing something – such as a person, place or software application — that is friendly to strangers. “Xenos” is a Greek word for “strangers;” according to the Oxford English Dictionary, xenodochial means “hospitable.”
