Do You Glow in the Dark?
Some people are able to reflect the light that lands on them, to take energy and focus it where it needs to be focused, to light up the way either for themselves or for others. This is a really valuable skill.
Even more valuable, though, is the person who glows in the dark! Not reflecting energy, but creating it. Not redirecting, but generating direction. The glow-in-the-dark individual is able to restart momentum for themselves and others.
I love the thought that we are all stardust, as this quote (by Carl Sagan? Albert Durrant Watson? Doris Lessing? Harlow Shapley? Vincent Cronin? Ancient Serbian Proverb? William E. Barton? Anonymous?) indicates:
And remember this Sunday School song…?
Sometimes we forget how much we matter, how much we can add to the positive experiences of others, how much we can increase the love in our circle.
We are the light of the world, not just the light of our own lives and family and friends.
Glow-in-the-dark folks know that recharging is eventually necessary, but for now, it may be okay that there’s not a lot of light. The glow is enough.
Well, I seem to have gotten carried away with the graphics, but they all seemed to speak to me!
How about you?
What speaks to you about
being the light,
sharing the light,
receiving the light?

Wonderful thoughts.
Barbara, I appreciate hearing from you. It’s always fun to find out who is reading my posts!
Good ideas although I would be a little freaked out if I saw someone glow in the dark. Another quote I like is: ” You can either be the candle or the mirror that reflects it.” I’m more of a gentle subtle light person. But the sun is nice. And the moon.
Mary Kay, I like the “candle/mirror” image too! I think that anything that helps us focus on being the light is a great tool!
